(The title is what Google translated for me from Japanese, so I’m sure it’s incorrect.)
This little book was a gift from Alicia that she picked up at the Muji store a couple years ago. I love when friends surprise you with little presents that they know you would like. Each page is a blank slate of a face. There are photographs and illustrations, each with a bit of humor: a watermelon, a pirate, Michael Jackson. In the back is a set of eyes, nose and mouth stickers to complete the character. The book is a creation by a pair of Japanese designers Tatsuya Kameyama and Atsuko Nakagawa who go by Tupera Tupera. Their site is a trove of intriguing looking projects I would like to take a closer look at.
